Annapurna Circuit Day 7

Chame to Upper Pisang

Apologies to those of you who got bombarded by post updates yesterday.  We had some internet issues and when they were resolved it posted way too many times!

Any who, Day 7 presented us with the challenge of walking through snow for the first time on the trek!  We quickly realized that the novelty of doing such wears off quite quickly once your boots are soaked through. We hiked along a turquoise river for most of the day until crossing another suspension bridge that led us up a trail into the forest.  The end was beautiful...we were treated to some flat terrain across a large meadow before climbing the hill to the rather medieval looking town of Upper Pisang. We decided to head to Upper (rather than Lower) Pisang because the views were said to be amazing.  And they weren't lying.  We ended this day at 3400 meters (around 11,200 feet) and began to feel some affects of the altitude in the form of a massive headache.  But, the next morning we were all better and headed on our way.
