Annapurna Circuit Days 3 and 4

Syange to Tal
This day was one of the most difficult.  For the first 3 hours, the path was uphill, but not too steep.  That changed once we crossed another bridge.  The map said "steep rocky climb" and it wasn't joking.  We scrambled our way up loose gravel and large boulders for the next 3.5 hours until Tal came into view.  'Tal' means lake in Nepali and the town is situated on a wide gravel flat (old lake bed) in between two steep mountains. It is quite the Shangri-La view because it suddenly appears spread before you when you reach the top of the steepest climb of the day!  This was also the day Ashley's feet decided to get blisters...big time.  So, we decided this would be a good spot for two days rest. We found a nice guest house by the river with an....attached bathroom!!....and hunkered down for two days to let the feet heal a bit. Tal was in a beautiful area and we really enjoyed the scenery.
